Pep Guardiola is on track to become only the second man ever to win the Premier League Manager of the Season award four times.

The Manchester City boss - who previously won the prize in 2018, 2019 and 2021 - is one of six nominees for the 2022/23 award.

Guardiola is up against Arsenal's Mikel Arteta, Brighton's Roberto De Zerbi, Aston Villa's Unai Emery, Newcastle's Eddie Howe and Fulham's Marco Silva.

The winner will be decided by votes from fans and a panel of experts.

Guardiola is currently one of three men to have been named Premier League Manager of the Season exactly three times.

The others are Jose Mourinho and Arsene Wenger.

Legendary former Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is the only manager who has won the award on more occasions than Guardiola, having triumphed 11 times between 1994 and 2013.

Guardiola looks set to guide his City team to EPL title glory for the third season in a row, having moved four points clear of rivals Arsenal last weekend.

But the Manager of the Season award does not always go to the title-winning boss.

For example, Guardiola lost out to Jurgen Klopp in last season's vote, despite City eventually pipping Liverpool to the EPL title, while Tony Pulis won the award in the 2013/14 campaign when his Crystal Palace team finished 11th in the table.

Voting will close at noon (UK time) on May 22. The winner will be revealed on May 30.
