The Ligue 1 title race could be back on after Paris Saint-Germain lost again on Sunday.

Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe both drew a blank for the second game in a row as PSG fell to a 1-0 defeat at home to Lyon.

Bradley Barcola scored the only goal of the match in the 56th minute.

Lyon had earlier missed a penalty kick just before half-time when Alexandre Lacazette saw his effort strike the post.

PSG have now lost six of their last 10 games in all competitions and have tasted defeat eight times in their first 18 matches of 2023.

Eight of the last 10 Ligue 1 seasons have ended with PSG being crowned as champions of France.

But another PSG title is looking less and less like a foregone conclusion.

PSG remain top of the table with nine rounds of fixtures left to play.

But Lens and Marseille are both now just six points behind Christophe Galtier's side.

PSG's next home game is against Lens on April 15.
