Real Madrid's home game with Manchester City in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League semi-final will be the Spanish club's 54th competitive match against a team from England.

It will also be the ninth UCL meeting between Real and City in the last 11 years. Real have won three of their previous eight matches against City, lost three and drawn two.

But Real's European history against English sides has also seen them face Chelsea, Liverpool, Tottenham, Arsenal, Manchester United, Leeds, Derby and Ipswich.

Real boast a positive head-to-head record against the likes of Chelsea, Liverpool, Man United and Tottenham.

But both Arsenal and Ipswich have never lost to Los Blancos, having each recorded a 1-0 win and a 0-0 draw against Spain's most successful club.

In total, Real have 24 wins against clubs from England, but the Spanish giants have also tasted defeat on 16 occasions.

When all of Madrid's results against English teams are added together, the Bernabeu outfit currently lead 83-63 on aggregate.
