Scotland And Spain Qualify For Euro 2024
Scotland and Spain both qualified for Euro 2024 on Sunday night with two games to spare.
Spain beat Norway 1-0 in Oslo to join Scotland on 15 points from six qualifying matches in Group A.
Gavi scored the winning goal in the 49th minute after Alvaro Morata had earlier seen a goal disallowed by VAR for offside.
Spain were good value for their victory, having controlled possession with 66% and recorded 13 shots to Norway's five.
Sunday's result left Norway third in Group A with 10 points from seven matches, meaning that Erling Haaland, Martin Odegaard and Co can no longer finish above Scotland or Spain.
Spain have now qualified for 16 consecutive major tournaments since missing out on a place at Euro 1992 in Sweden.
Meanwhile, Euro 2024 will be only the second major international tournament to include a men's Scottish team since 1998.
The Norway men's national team have not qualified for a World Cup or Euros since 2000.
