Celta Vigo 0-1 Atletico Madrid

Atletico Madrid defender Stefan Savic was sent off for the third time in five games on Sunday.

Savic was shown a straight red card in the 70th minute of Atletico's La Liga away clash with Celta Vigo for a last-man foul on Haris Seferovic.

Referee Jorge Figueroa judged that Savic had denied Seferovic a clear scoring opportunity when he pulled his shirt just outside of the penalty area.

Savic was adamant that the ref had got it wrong and demanded a VAR review.

A check did take place but it found Savic guilty.

Atletico's punishment was very nearly upgraded when Iago Aspas rattled a shot off the crossbar from the resulting free-kick.

But Atletico would go on to win the game thanks to Memphis Depay's first goal since joining from Barcelona in January.

Depay netted the winner in the 89th minute with a sharp turn and finish from seven yards.
