The wife of Chelsea defender Thiago Silva appeared to call for manager Mauricio Pochettino to leave the club following Sunday's home defeat by Wolves.

Center-back Silva, 39, scored a late consolation goal for the Blues in a 4-2 loss at Stamford Bridge, after earlier deflecting a shot from hat-trick hero Matheus Cunha into the net at the wrong end.

There was plenty of booing and jeering from Chelsea fans at full-time, while Pochettino was subjected to chants of: "You're getting sacked in the morning."

Silva's wife Belle later wrote on social media: "It's time to change. If you wait any longer it will be too late".

The tweet - which included two blue heart emojis - was widely seen as Belle calling for a change of management at Stamford Bridge.

This was not the first time that Belle has used social media to voice her opinions about the goings on at Chelsea.

In an Instagram post in January last year, she criticized some Chelsea fans for booing the team following a 1-0 loss to Manchester City.

"Don't come to Stamford Bridge if you're not singing COME ON CHELSEA," she wrote.

Back in August 2022, Belle demanded an explanation after Chelsea did not use her husband to front a marketing campaign.

She asked: "Today I went to Stamford Bridge and I noticed that the photos changed around the stadium. But I don't see a photo of @tsilva3 anywhere. Why @ChelseaFC?"

Silva is expected to leave Chelsea when his current contract expires in June.

Meanwhile, Pochettino is under contract until the end of the 2024/25 season.
