Thierry Henry To Coach France At 2024 Olympic Games
Thierry Henry has been appointed as the new head coach of the France men's under-21 team.
Henry will also take charge of a France U23 side at next summer's 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
The 46-year-old will be assisted by ex-Angers manager Gerald Baticle.
When announcing Henry's appointment this week, the French Football Federation said it had "studied several profiles of French technicians" before finally choosing the former Arsenal and Barcelona striker.
Henry left his role as an assistant coach with the Belgian national team last year and has since been working as a pundit for CBS Sports and Amazon Prime Video.
He previously managed Monaco between October 2018 and January 2019, before leading Montreal Impact in a 15-month spell that ended in February 2021.
Henry's first squad announcement is expected to be made on August 31, with a U21 friendly against Denmark on September 7 penciled in as his first game.
