Napoli 3-0 Frankfurt (5-0 on agg)

Victor Osimhen scored the 50th and 51st goals of his Napoli career as the Serie A leaders beat Eintracht Frankfurt 3-0 to secure a 5-0 aggregate victory and a place in the Champions League quarter-finals.

Napoli had never before reached the quarter-finals of Europe's top tournament.

But their place in the last eight never looked in doubt following a 2-0 win in the first leg in Germany last month.

Napoli had been thoroughly dominant in that first leg and were head and shoulders above their opponents again in southern Italy.

Osimhen's first goal of the night arrived just before half-time when he rose superbly to head home from a Matteo Politano cross.

The Nigeria international doubled his tally for the night eight minutes into the second half with a close-range finish following a Giovanni Di Lorenzo assist.

Napoli won a penalty in the 62nd minute when Piotr Zielinski was fouled by Djibril Sow.

Despite Osimhen being on a hat-trick, Zielinski took the spot-kick to make it 5-0 on aggregate.

But Osimhen was still named as the man of the match.

The 24-year-old's first 51 Napoli goals have come in 90 games since joining from Lille in July 2020.

He is said to be on the radar of many clubs in England.

That interest will likely have been heightened after he told reporters earlier this month: "I'm working so hard to make sure that I achieve my dream of playing in the Premier League some day.

"But it's a process and I just want to keep on this momentum and continue to do well."
