Brazilian Starlet Vitor Roque, El Tigrinho, Signs Barcelona Transfer Agreement Ahead Of 2024 Move
Barcelona have announced that Brazilian forward Vitor Roque will join from Athletico Paranaense next year.
The 18-year-old, who claimed the Golden Boot with six goals as Brazil won the 2023 South American U-20 Championship in February, will move to Barca ahead of the 2024/25 season.
He will sign a contract for seven years, tying himself to the Camp Nou club until June 2031.
That contract will include a €500 million release clause.
According to ESPN, Barca will pay Athletico Paranaense a transfer fee in the region of €40m to sign Roque, whose full name is Vitor Hugo Roque Ferreira.
Roque is nicknamed 'El Tigrinho', meaning 'little tiger'.
Barcelona played heavily on this when announcing Roque's signing on Wednesday, posting two edited images of the player next to a tiger.
Reacting to his transfer agreement, Roque said on Twitter: "I'm very happy to sign with Barca. It's a dream come true."
