Arsenal Outbid Manchester City By Offering £105m For West Ham's Declan Rice
Manchester City have reportedly pulled out of the race to sign West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice.
City had offered the Hammers a deal worth £90 million earlier this week but it was rejected.
That came after Arsenal had seen two bids turned down for the 24-year-old.
But according to BBC Sport, the Gunners have now lodged a third bid worth £105m.
Arsenal's latest proposal is said to be an initial £100m plus £5m in add-ons.
City have apparently been made aware of this offer and informed West Ham that they will not be matching it.
Rice is Arsenal's top transfer target this summer.
The Gunners are also understood to be close to signing Germany international Kai Havertz from Chelsea.
England midfielder Rice has made 204 EPL appearances for West Ham, scoring 10 goals and assisting another 10.
He also led the Hammers to victory in the UEFA Europa Conference League final earlier this month in what will likely prove to be his last game for the club.
Rice has been capped 43 times by England, having previously represented the Republic of Ireland in three friendly matches.
