Manchester United are reportedly considering letting Mason Greenwood leave the club in a loan deal this summer.

Greenwood has not played for United or even trained with his teammates since January 2022.

The one-time England international was suspended by the club after being arrested early last year.

Greenwood was later charged with attempted rape, engaging in controlling behavior, and assault, but all charges against him were dropped in February 2023.

Despite no longer facing any criminal charges, Greenwood is still the subject of a club investigation into his conduct.

That investigation is said to be ongoing.

If United's review finds that Greenwood brought the club into disrepute, the 21-year-old forward could be released.

But for now, he still has two years remaining on his £75,000-a-week contract and is being paid in full.

According to the Daily Mail, United are looking into the possibility of sending Greenwood to Spain or Italy for up to one year.

United received loan enquiries from clubs in Turkey earlier this year.

But a short-term move to La Liga or Serie A would allow Greenwood to play at a higher level as United continue their investigation and also gauge public reaction.
