Moises Caicedo "Cannot Say No" To "Historic, Beautiful" Chelsea
Ecuador midfielder Moises Caicedo has admitted that a move to Chelsea would be too good to turn down.
The 21-year-old has made 53 appearances for Brighton & Hove Albion since joining the South Coast outfit from Independiente del Valle in 2021.
But he is expected to move to Stamford Bridge this summer, assuming that Chelsea and Brighton can agree a transfer fee.
According to The Telegraph, Brighton want more than £100 million for their star man, while Chelsea are keen to pay significantly less.
If Chelsea do eventually make an offer that Brighton find acceptable then Caicedo will seemingly not require much persuading to complete the move.
Speaking to TC Deportes this week, Caicedo told journalist Maria Jose Flores: "It is a big team, that is true.
"A very historic team which I cannot say no [to joining] because it is a very big, historic, beautiful team.
"The city as well is beautiful. It has got everything, beautiful."
Brighton finished sixth in the Premier League last season, earning a place in the 2023/24 UEFA Europa League.
Chelsea came in 12th place, 18 points behind Brighton, and will not play European soccer next season.
