N'Golo Kante To Join Karim Benzema At Al-Ittihad
Chelsea midfielder N'Golo Kante is reportedly close to being unveiled as Al-Ittihad's next marquee signing.
Al-Ittihad won the latest edition of the Saudi Pro League and will be firm favorites to retain that title next season after recruiting 2022 Ballon d'Or winner Karim Benzema earlier this week.
Benzema is heading to Jeddah after winning the UEFA Champions League five times in 14 seasons with Real Madrid.
But the 35-year-old is not the only former European champion heading to Al-Ittihad this summer.
According to The Guardian, Kante, 32, is on the verge of signing a two-year contract with Al-Ittihad worth €100 million per season.
Kante's contract is also expected to include a clause with the option of adding a further 12 months.
The ex-Leicester star has just completed his seventh season with Chelsea.
His current contract at Stamford Bridge is due to expire later this month, meaning Al-Ittihad will not need to pay Chelsea a transfer fee.
Al-Ittihad are managed by former Wolves and Tottenham boss Nuno Espirito Santo.
