Manchester United lost 3-2 to Borussia Dortmund in an exhibition game at the home of the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday night.

Diogo Dalot fired United in front in the 24th minute with a wicked strike from 23 yards.

But Dortmund led 2-1 by half-time thanks to two goals from Donyell Malen late in the opening period.

Malen's first goal of the game came from a close-range volley.

His second punished a defensive error by Victor Lindelof, who had given the ball away with a loose pass from the edge of the United penalty area.

More sloppy play almost cost United another goal early in the second half.

Harry Maguire played a pass to Christian Eriksen in a tight spot. Eriksen's attempt to flick the ball to another teammate was intercepted, resulting in Julian Brandt setting up a chance for Sebastien Haller.

Goalkeeper Andre Onana, who had replaced Tom Heaton at half-time, made a strong save to deny Haller before turning to Maguire and screaming at the former United captain.

This was another low moment for Maguire, who had been replaced by Bruno Fernandes as club captain earlier in the month.

Antony capitalized on some poor defending at the other end to tie the score at 2-2 with a cool low finish in the 52nd minute.

But Dortmund won the game in the 71st minute when Youssoufa Moukoko finished off a slick move.
