Arda Guler Scores His First Goal for Real Madrid in Win Over Celta Vigo
Turkish teenager Arda Guler scored the first goal of his Real Madrid career on Sunday night to wrap up a 4-0 win over Celta Vigo in La Liga.
The 19-year-old was handed his sixth senior appearance for Madrid when he came on as an 89th-minute substitute at the Bernabeu.
Guler's big moment then arrived in the first minute of added time. He collected a through pass from Dani Ceballos before dribbling around keeper Vicente Guaita and firing home from the corner of the six-yard box.
Guler's introduction in Sunday's match came shortly after a Carlos Dominguez own goal had put Madrid 3-0 in front.
Madrid's second goal was also an own goal, scored by former Crystal Palace keeper Guaita, who ended the game having made 11 saves.
Two of Guaita's saves were made in the 21st minute, seconds before Vinicius Junior opened the scoring with his 16th goal of the season.
Sunday's victory saw Madrid end the weekend seven points clear of Girona at the top of the table.
