Arsenal Women won their first trophy since 2019 by coming from behind to beat London rivals Chelsea at a packed Selhurst Park on Sunday.

Stina Blackstenius and Kim Little were both among the scorers as Arsenal won 3-1 in a thrilling FA Women's League Cup final.

Chelsea have won the last three editions of the Women's Super League and the Blues were aiming to lift the League Cup for the third time in four years.

It looked like Chelsea's period of dominance was all set to continue when Sam Kerr headed her side into the lead two minutes into Sunday's final.

But Arsenal rallied and leveled on 16 minutes courtesy of a cool finish by Blackstenius from 12 yards.

Little completed the turnaround with a precise penalty kick midway through the first half.

Arsenal then netted from a corner just before half-time to move 3-1 in front.

It initially looked as though Gunners defender Rafaelle Souza had headed home but replays showed that Niamh Charles had in fact flicked the ball past her own keeper.

A record-breaking crowd of 19,010 watched Sunday's final. Among those in attendance were Arsenal legend Ian Wright and Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly.
