FIFA president Gianni Infantino was also among the crowd.

There were golazos galore in the final, including two superb overhead kicks - one from hat-trick hero Rodrigo and another by Brendo.

However, there was also an own goal thanks to a misplaced back-pass from Gianmarco Genovali, who netted twice at the correct end too.

Brazil won all six of their games at this year's Beach Soccer World Cup - although they needed extra-time to beat Portugal and Mexico during a competitive group stage.

The champions also defeated Oman, Japan and Iran en route to Sunday's final.

Meanwhile, Italy beat Belarus on penalties in the semi-finals, having earlier won against Tahiti, Egypt and the USA.

But Italy lost to the UAE in a penalty shootout during the group stage following the only 0-0 draw of the tournament.
