Bernd Leno Criticized For Pushing Ball Boy During Fulham's Loss At Bournemouth
Fulham goalkeeper Bernd Leno pushed a Bournemouth ball boy during his team's 3-0 defeat at the Vitality Stadium on Boxing Day.
Seemingly frustrated by the boy's slowness, Leno softly shoved him in the chest after retrieving the ball from his right hand during the second half of the Premier League game.
Leno had been shown a yellow card for dissent earlier in the match but he was not issued with a second booking.
However, Bournemouth fans made it clear that they were not happy with Leno by booing him every time he touched the ball.
Meanwhile, former Arsenal and Everton striker Kevin Campbell said on BBC Radio 5 Live: "Bernd Leno is out of order.
"He shouldn't put his hand on the ball boy. The ball boys are told if their team is winning, you slow the game down. We all know this.
"Just go and grab the ball, you don't need to put your hand on his chest."
Leno later said sorry to the ball boy and gave him a hug, as well as apologetically raising his hand in a gesture aimed at the home supporters.
Justin Kluivert, Dominic Solanke and Luis Sinisterra got the goals for Bournemouth on Boxing Day.
The Cherries now sit 10th in the Premier League - four points ahead of Fulham.
