Former Chelsea Winger Callum Hudson-Odoi Scores Stunning Goal On Nottingham Forest Debut In 1-1 Draw With Burnley
Callum Hudson-Odoi marked his Nottingham Forest debut by scoring a stunning goal in a 1-1 draw against Burnley on Monday night.
The three-time England international, who joined Forest from Chelsea on September 1, struck a superb 61st-minute equalizer to earn his new team a point after Zeki Amdouni had fired the away side in front during the first half.
Hudson-Odoi had scored four Premier League goals in 72 games for Chelsea - with 40 of those appearances coming as a substitute.
His decision to join Forest was largely motivated by his desire to start more matches.
He started on Monday in a highly attacking XI that also included Taiwo Awoniyi, Anthony Elanga and Morgan Gibbs-White.
Awoniyi assisted Hudson-Odoi for his goal by collecting a deep cross on his chest before teeing up the former Chelsea winger just outside of the penalty area.
Hudson-Odoi then curled a brilliant shot into the top corner of the Burnley net via the inside of the post.
Burnley thought that they had retaken the lead in the 76th minute when Lyle Foster put the ball in the net.
But Foster's goal was disallowed following a VAR review that found Sander Berge guilty of handball in the build-up.
Another VAR review then went against Foster in added time when he was sent off for violent conduct after elbowing Ryan Yates.
