Al Nassr captain Cristiano Ronaldo was not in a good mood following his team's 2-0 defeat against local rivals Al-Hilal on Thursday.

The game saw Al-Hilal win the Riyadh Season Cup and Ronaldo was visibly annoyed that he had to stay on the pitch afterwards to receive a silver medal.

Ronaldo, 39, was still seemingly grumpy when he left the field at Al-Hilal's Kingdom Arena to head back to the locker rooms.

As Ronaldo approached the players' tunnel, two blue and white Al-Hilal scarves were thrown in his direction.

Video footage recorded by fans close to the tunnel captured Ronaldo picking one up and rubbing it against his crotch in an apparent show of disrespect.

Ronaldo then threw the scarf away and stormed off.

It had been a frustrating night for Ronaldo, who played the full 90 minutes but was far from his brilliant best.

He recorded four shots but only one forced Al-Hilal keeper Yassine Bounou into action.

Ronaldo was also caught offside three times and he was shown a yellow card in the 53rd minute for kicking the ball away in anger after a free-kick had been awarded to Al-Hilal.

Next up for Al Nassr and Ronaldo is the first leg of their AFC Champions League round of 16 clash with Al Feiha next Wednesday.

Al Nassr will then return to Saudi Pro League action three days later with a game against Al Fateh.
