Cristiano Ronaldo Scores 63rd Career Hat-Trick As Al Nassr Claim First Points Of Saudi Pro League Season
Al Nassr captain Cristiano Ronaldo scored his first three goals of the 2023/24 Saudi Pro League season on Friday in a 5-0 win away at Al Fateh.
Sadio Mane netted the other two goals - including his first since moving to Saudi Arabia from Bayern Munich earlier this month.
Meanwhile, Aymeric Laporte enjoyed an impressive debut in defense for Al Nassr, playing the full 90 minutes just 24 hours after signing from Manchester City.
Ronaldo assisted Mane for the opening goal of the game in the 27th minute when his backheeled pass found the former Liverpool forward inside the penalty area.
The skipper then made it 2-0 eleven minutes later by heading home from the center of the six-yard box.
Ronaldo - who scored 14 goals in 16 Pro League games last season - struck again 10 minutes into the second half.
The 38-year-old practically walked the ball into the net to finish off a flowing team attack.
It was 4-0 in the 81st minute when Mane beat the keeper with a looping header before imitating Ronaldo's famous 'SIU' celebration.
Ronaldo then had the final word in the sixth minute of added time when he wrapped up the 63rd hat-trick of his senior career with a close-range tap-in.
Friday's win saw Al Nassr claim their first Saudi Pro League points of the season, having kicked off the campaign with back-to-back defeats against Al-Ettifaq and Al-Taawoun.
Next up for Ronaldo and Co will be a home clash with Al-Shabab on Tuesday.
