Cristiano Ronaldo and Al Nassr have now failed to score in three consecutive games after losing 1-0 at home to 10-man Al-Wehda on Monday night.

Ronaldo looks likely to end his first season in Saudi Arabia without a trophy as Monday's shock defeat saw Al Nassr eliminated from the King Cup at the semi-final stage.

Monday's cup exit came after a poor run of results in the Saudi Pro League had seen Al Nassr lose control of the title race.

Al Nassr have now been shutout in four of their last seven matches in all competitions.

Rudi Garcia was in charge for five of those games before being fired earlier this month.

Al Nassr have yet to appoint a permanent successor for Garcia, with Dinko Jelicic currently in charge on an interim basis.

Ronaldo vented his frustration at a member of Jelicic's bench staff while walking off the field at half-time in Monday's game.

TV cameras captured an angry Ronaldo demanding that more water be sprayed on the pitch ahead of the second half.

Al-Wehda were already 1-0 up at this stage courtesy of an acrobatic overhead finish by Jean-David Beauguel in the 23rd minute.

Ronaldo had scored four goals against Al-Wehda the last time these sides met, but his finishing was not up to scratch on Monday.

He came closest to scoring in the 82nd minute when he hit the crossbar from 10 yards.

But that was just one of a bagful of missed chances on another night to forget for the 38-year-old former Real Madrid superstar.
