Cristiano Ronaldo played his first competitive game of the 2023/24 season on Friday night as Al Nassr drew 0-0 with fellow Saudi side Al-Shabab in the Arab Club Champions Cup.

Ronaldo was introduced as a 62nd-minute substitute in Ta'if but was unable to break the deadlock.

The 38-year-old Al Nassr captain was clearly frustrated following the game and did not take kindly to a cameraman's attempts to film him from close range.

Ronaldo squirted water towards the cameraman and gestured for him to go away - which he promptly did.

Al Nassr's next game in the Arab Club Champions Cup will be against Tunisian side Union Monastirienne on Monday.

They will then play Egyptian champions Zamalek next Thursday.

The top two teams from each group will qualify for the quarter-finals, which will begin on August 5, with the final scheduled for August 12.

Al Nassr's first Saudi Pro League game of the season is set to take place on August 14 when they travel to Dammam to face Steven Gerrard's Al-Ettifaq.
