Crystal Palace 4-3 West Ham

Kick-off in Saturday's early Premier League game between Crystal Palace and West Ham was delayed by 15 minutes due to a technical issue at Selhurst Park.

Thousands of season-ticket holders had been unable to enter the stadium due to a problem with a card-reading system.

But the issue was eventually resolved and the game proved to be worth the wait as Palace won 4-3 in one of the best games of the EPL season.

Five goals arrived inside the opening 36 minutes as Palace went from 1-0 down to 3-1 up before West Ham netted again to make it 3-2 to the home side at half-time.

Tomas Soucek, Jordan Ayew, Wilfried Zaha, Jeffrey Schlupp and Michail Antonio all got on the scoresheet in a pulsating first half.

Palace restored their two-goal midway through the second half when Eberechi Eze won and converted a penalty kick.

But West Ham hit back again with a scrappy strike that was eventually awarded to Naif Aguerd after replays had been studied.

Palace held on for a deserved win though - a result which took them up to 11th in the EPL table, above Chelsea.
