Darwin Nunez was not in a good mood following Liverpool's 3-2 defeat by Toulouse in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday.

Nunez, who had entered the action as a 73rd-minute substitute for Cody Gakpo, was pictured refusing to shake hands with Toulouse striker Frank Magri shortly after the final whistle.

A short video that went viral on social media showed Magri shaking hands with Mo Salah before offering his hand to Nunez.

But the Uruguayan walked straight past Magri before dismissively waving his right arm in the direction of the Cameroon international, who reacted by smiling.

Magri had been the scorer of his side's third goal.

His strike in the 76th minute put Toulouse 3-1 up, shortly after Cristian Casseres Jr had scored an own goal.

Aron Donnum and Thijs Dallinga had earlier fired Toulouse into a 2-0 lead before the hour-mark.

Liverpool had been well below their best but a fine solo goal from Diogo Jota in the 89th minute set up a frantic finale, during which Jarell Quansah had an equalizer disallowed deep into added time.

Quansah was denied the first goal of his senior career after a two-and-a-half-minute VAR review ruled that Alexis Mac Allister had handled the ball 13 seconds before it hit the back of the Toulouse net.

In addition to Quansah's disallowed goal, four players - including Nunez - were issued with yellow cards in added time.

Liverpool remain top of Group E despite Thursday's result.

The Reds have nine points from four games. Toulouse sit second with seven points, ahead of Union Saint-Gilloise and LASK with four and three respectively.
