Diogo Dalot Sent Off For Double Dissent But Manchester United Earn Rare Draw At Anfield
Manchester United avoided defeat at Anfield for only the second time in six seasons by holding Liverpool to a 0-0 draw on Sunday.
Liverpool dominated the game in terms of possession and chances - recording 34 shots to United's six.
But Andre Onana produced eight saves to record a valuable clean sheet.
United ended Sunday's game with 10 men after right-back Diogo Dalot was sent off in added time in bizarre circumstances.
Dalot was furious after a throw-in was wrongly awarded to Liverpool despite the ball last coming off Mo Salah.
Referee Michael Oliver quickly showed Dalot a yellow card for dissent but the Portuguese player continued to protest and was then issued with a second card.
Liverpool would have gone top of the Premier League had they beaten United.
But a draw saw the Reds end the weekend in second place, one point behind leaders Arsenal - who beat Brighton 2-0 earlier in the day.
