Erling Haaland Ends Mini Goal Drought By Scoring Twice As Norway Thrash Cyprus

Erling Haaland scored two goals to help Norway record a 4-0 away win over Cyprus on Thursday night.

Haaland had failed to score in each of his previous three games - after drawing blanks for Manchester City against Wolves, RB Leipzig and Arsenal.

His mini-goal drought had passed the seven-hour mark before he ended it with a spectacular strike 65 minutes into Thursday's Euro 2024 qualifier.

After stretching to control the ball on the corner of the six-yard box, Haaland spun sharply and hammered a fierce left-footed shot into the roof of the Cyprus net.

That goal made the score 2-0 to Norway after former Crystal Palace forward Alexander Sorloth had earlier netted the opener.

It was 3-0 in the 72nd minute when Haaland powerfully headed home at the far post following a deep cross from teenager Antonio Nusa.
