Manchester City's two-month winning streak came to an end on Saturday when Chelsea left the Etihad Stadium with a 1-1 draw.

City had won 11 consecutive matches in all competitions but had to settle for a point against the team ranked 10th in the Premier League table.

Raheem Sterling fired Chelsea in front against his former club late in the first half before Rodri smashed home an equalizer in the 83rd minute.

The result left City third in the EPL, four points behind leaders Liverpool.

City created enough chances to beat Chelsea comfortably but goal machine Erling Haaland malfunctioned by missing the target from seven of his nine shots attempted.

Haaland's other two attempts were saved by Chelsea keeper Djordje Petrovic.

Petrovic made four saves in total, but remarkably Ederson was even busier at the other end.

Ederson saved five of Chelsea's nine shots. City recorded 31 shots, but only five were on target.

Pep Guardiola was asked after the game about Haaland's bad day in front of goal.

He responded with humor by telling Sky Sports: "I played 11 years and scored 11 goals so I can't give too much advice to Erling. The next one he will score."

That next one could come on Tuesday when City take on Brentford.
