Erling Haaland Misses Cost Man City As Draw At Nottingham Forest Leaves Arsenal Top Of EPL
Nottingham Forest 1-1 Manchester City
Manchester City blew a 1-0 lead before drawing at Nottingham Forest on Saturday.
City took the lead in the 41st minute when Bernardo Silva scored his first goal since August with a fabulous long-range strike.
City were thoroughly dominant for much of the match and registered 23 shots in total.
But several big misses saw them fail to move 2-0 ahead.
Two of City's most glaring misses came midway through the second half when Erling Haaland first hit the crossbar before blasting a rebound high and wide from ultra close range.
Forest punished City's wastefulness in the 84th minute when Chris Wood tapped in at the far post following a low cross from Morgan Gibbs-White.
It was Wood's first ever goal for Forest and it came from his team's only shot on target of the game.
City's draw at Forest ensured that Arsenal would end the weekend top of the Premier League.
The Gunners had earlier won 4-2 at Aston Villa.
