Gabriel Jesus was Arsenal's star man in a 2-1 away win over Sevilla in the Champions League on Tuesday.

Jesus set up fellow Brazilian Gabriel Martinelli for a fine counter-attacking goal on the stroke of half-time.

The former Manchester City forward then doubled Arsenal's lead eight minutes into the second half with a stunning solo strike.

Nemanja Gudelj pulled a goal back for Sevilla but Mikel Arteta's side held on for an impressive victory.

However, it was not all good news for the Gunners.

Jesus was substituted off in the 81st minute with a suspected hamstring injury.

Arsenal manager Arteta told TNT Sports after the game: "He felt something in his hamstring.

"Let's see. He straight away asked to be subbed, which is not good news because Gabi is not a player that does that at all. So we will have to wait to see in the next few days."

Jesus also spoke to TNT Sports and appeared to be hopeful that scans on his hamstring will find "nothing".

He said: "I felt something but let's see. I did some tests with the physio and it looks not that big. But let's see. I have a scan maybe tomorrow.

"Let's see how it is but I'm pretty sure it will be nothing."

Arsenal's next game will be against Sheffield United in the Premier League on Saturday.
