Gift Orban Breaks UEFA Record By Scoring Europa Conference League Hat-Trick In Just 205 Seconds
Gift Orban broke a UEFA record by scoring a Europa Conference League hat-trick in just 205 seconds during Gent's 4-1 win away to Istanbul Basaksehir.
Gift Emmanuel Orban. Remember the name.
The 20-year-old scored three goals within the space of just 205 seconds to help Belgian club Gent beat Istanbul Basaksehir in Turkey on Wednesday.
Orban set a new record for the fastest hat-trick ever witnessed in a UEFA club competition.
All three of his goals came in the first half of Gent's 4-1 win, which saw them progress to the quarter-finals of the Europa Conference League 5-2 on aggregate.
Orban's second goal of the night was a spectacular long-range strike.
He has now scored 12 goals in his first nine matches since joining Gent from Stabaek in Norway in January.
This was Orban's second hat-trick in four days. He had netted four times in a 6-2 win at Waregem on Sunday in the Belgian Pro League.
