Goalkeeper Leandro Requena scored direct from a goal kick for Chilean Primera Division club Cobresal on Saturday.

His team were already leading 2-0 against Colo-Colo when Argentine keeper Requena booted the ball forward.

Requena's big kick flew over the head of all 20 outfield players without bouncing before the ball pitched midway inside the Colo-Colo half.

The ball then bounced over the head of Colo-Colo keeper Brayan Cortes, who was stood 10 yards outside of his penalty area.

After making a failed attempt to head the ball, Cortes stumbled as he raced it back to his goal.

The ball won the race and left Cortes embarrassed.

Cortes raised his hand to acknowledge his mistake and to apologize to his teammates.

Meanwhile, at the other end of the field, Cobresal keeper Requena was mobbed by his teammates as they celebrated his freak goal.

Cobresal went on to win the game 3-1.
