Watch Harry Kane Score His First Bayern Munich Goal And Claim An Assist On Superb Bundesliga Debut
Harry Kane enjoyed an excellent Bundesliga debut on Friday night as Bayern Munich won 4-0 away at Werder Bremen.
Kane assisted Leroy Sane for Bayern's opener in front of 42,100 fans at the Weserstadion and later scored the second himself.
Sane then netted again before substitute Mathys Tel completed the rout.
This was Kane's second game for Bayern since he joined the club from Tottenham Hotspur in a deal that saw him become the most expensive player in the history of German soccer.
His first outing had been a disappointing cameo as a second-half sub in a 3-0 loss to RB Leipzig in last weekend's German Supercup final.
But Kane was in the starting XI on Friday and his first meaningful touch arrived after just 186 seconds.
Sane gave the ball to Kane near the halfway line and the England captain flicked a brilliant return pass into Werder territory.
The former Manchester City winger then raced onto the ball without needing to break his stride before beating the keeper with a deft finish.
Kane registered six shots during Friday's game - three more than any other player. His first four were either blocked or saved, his fifth sailed narrowly wide, but no.6 ended up in the back of the net.
His first Bayern goal arrived in the 74th minute.
Alphonso Davies found Kane in space 25 yards out. The striker's first touch was perfect and his second saw him place a low shot past Jiri Pavlenka from the edge of the penalty area via a slight deflection off Amos Pieper.
Kane was subbed off 10 minutes later.
Next up for Kane and Bayern will be a home match against Augsburg on August 27.
