Bayern Munich 3-0 Lazio (3-1 on aggregate)

Harry Kane scored twice as Bayern Munich beat Lazio 3-0 on Tuesday to progress to the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League.

Bayern had lost the first leg 1-0 last month but were totally dominant in Germany.

Kane leveled the tie on aggregate 38 minutes into Tuesday's second leg with an instinctive diving header from eight yards after Raphael Guerreiro had mishit a shot into his path.

Bayern then scored another headed goal just before half-time when Thomas Muller redirected a powerful shot from Matthijs de Ligt into the net.

Kane later made sure of Bayern's victory with a left-footed tap-in from close range after Leroy Sane's initial effort had been saved by Ivan Provedel.

Bayern have now reached the quarter-finals of the Champions League in five consecutive seasons.

Meanwhile, Kane is now averaging precisely one goal per game for Bayern, having scored 33 times in 33 appearances since signing from Tottenham.

Kane is also closing in on Wayne Rooney's record as the highest-scoring Englishman in Champions League history.

Rooney ended his career with 30 UCL goals. Kane currently has 27.

Kane is already the highest-scoring British player across all UEFA club competitions.
