Harry Kane showed off his basketball skills this week by sharing a video of himself sinking a jump shot from three-point range.

But the 29-year-old's successful jumper was preceded by a less impressive and much more amusing effort.

Kane, who was casually wearing sliders inside a London gymnasium, first tried his luck from near halfway but hit a giant duct near the ceiling.

But like all good strikers, the soccer star gobbled up the rebound.

After catching the high ball, he made no mistake from just outside of the three point-line.

The Tottenham Hotspur and England forward uploaded the footage to Instagram alongside a laughing emoji and the caption: "Haters will say it's fake".

While Kane clearly enjoyed performing this basketball demonstration, it is not his favorite American sport.

Kane has previously stated that he dreams of becoming an NFL kicker after he finishes his soccer career.

Speaking to Good Morning America earlier this year, Kane said: "It's something I want to definitely explore. I know it'll be a lot of hard work; I'm not expecting to just walk up and start kicking field goals.

"It'll be a lot of practice, a lot of hard work, but, yeah, it's something I'd love to do. The NFL is something I've been following for about 10 years now, and I love it. So, I'd love to give it a go."
