Reiss Nelson Scores 97th-Minute Winner As Arsenal Fight Back From 2-0 Down To Beat Bournemouth
Arsenal 3-2 Bournemouth
The Premier League's game of the day came at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.
Table-toppers Arsenal were stunned when Philip Billing fired Bournemouth ahead after 9.11 seconds with the second fastest goal in EPL history.
Jaws dropped even lower when Marcos Senesi doubled Bournemouth's lead 12 minutes into the second half.
But then came an incredible Arsenal fightback as goals from Thomas Partey, Ben White and Reiss Nelson saw the leaders claim three precious points.
Partey volleyed home from an Emile Smith Rowe flick-on to give the Gunners hope in the 62nd minute.
Arsenal were level eight minutes later courtesy of White's first ever goal for the club.
White arrived at the far post to meet a cross from Nelson, who had come on as a sub for Smith Rowe moments earlier.
Bournemouth keeper Neto blocked the shot from White but only after the ball had marginally crossed the goal-line.
Arsenal continued to push forward in search of a winner and it arrived from the last kick of the game.
Nelson sent Arsenal fans wild when he arrowed a brilliant left-footed shot into the top corner after Bournemouth had failed to clear from a set-piece.
Arsenal remain five points clear of title rivals Manchester City with 12 rounds of fixtures left to play this season.
