Highlights: Yokohama F. Marinos 3-5 Manchester City - Watch All The Goals
Manchester City began their pre-season campaign with a 5-3 win over Yokohama F. Marinos in Japan on Sunday.
This was City's first game since they became European champions.
Pep Guardiola took a strong squad to Tokyo. Of the 13 players that had featured for City in last month's UEFA Champions League final, just two - Kevin De Bruyne and Ilkay Gundogan - were not involved against Yokohama.
Despite picking a team full of stars, City fell 2-0 down in the first 37 minutes courtesy of goals from Anderson Lopes and Ken Matsubara.
But City were level by half-time after John Stones and Julian Alvarez added their names to the scoresheet.
Erling Haaland was subbed on at the start of the second half and he went on to score twice.
Rodri also netted for City and Kenta Inoue bagged a late consolation strike for the J1 League side.
City will return to the New Japan National Stadium on Wednesday for an exhibition match against Bayern Munich.
