    Cristiano Ronaldo will not make his debut for Al Nassr against Al-Ta'ee in Friday's Saudi Pro League game.

    The 37-year-old is serving the first part of a two-match suspension carried over from his time as a Manchester United player.

    It had been suggested that Al Nassr might be willing to defy that ban and hand Ronaldo his debut anyway.

    But Ronaldo was left out of the starting XI on Friday and he will instead start his Al Nassr career for real on January 22 against Ettifaq.

    Friday's game between Al Nassr and Al-Ta'ee had originally been scheduled for Thursday but an electrical fault at Mrsool Park, caused by heavy rain, forced a postponement.

    More wet weather saw kick-off delayed on Friday.
