Ilkay Gundogan Scores And Assists Against Everton In 118-Second Burst Of Brilliance
Ilkay Gundogan marked his 300th appearance for Manchester City by scoring one goal and assisting another in a two-minute burst of brilliance against Everton.
Gundogan fired City 1-0 up in the 37th minute with a superb improvised finish following a cross from Riyad Mahrez.
With his back to goal, Gundogan controlled the ball on his right thigh before spinning to flick a fine shot past Everton keeper Jordan Pickford.
Gundogan then set up Erling Haaland to make it 2-0 to City just 118 seconds later.
The former Germany midfielder got to the byline before standing up a precise cross for Haaland to head home inside the six-yard box.
Haaland has now scored 36 goals in his first Premier League season.
Gundogan scored again in the second half of Sunday's game to seal a 3-0 win for City.
His second goal of the day came direct from a free-kick after Phil Foden had been fouled by James Garner.
