Tottenham Hotspur briefly went top of the Premier League table on Saturday afternoon after winning 2-0 away at Bournemouth.

James Maddison scored his first goal for Spurs in the 17th minute before Dejan Kulusevski wrapped up the victory in the second half.

Saturday's game was played at an incredibly fast tempo between two teams that have been coached to press high and play on the front foot.

Ultimately, it was Tottenham's superior quality in the final third that proved to be the difference.

Both of the goals came from slick passing moves.

Maddison's opener came from a neat first-time finish after a through ball from Pape Matar Sarr had taken both Bournemouth center-backs out of the game.

Destiny Udogie then assisted Kulusevski for Tottenham's second of the day following a sharp one-two with Son Heung-min in the build-up.

Tottenham have now taken seven points from their opening three games of the Ange Postecoglou era.

Spurs fans at the Vitality Stadium serenaded their new manager by singing his name throughout the second half, as well as chanting: "We've got our Tottenham back!"
