Jude Bellingham Scores 94th-Minute Winner Against Union Berlin On Champions League Debut For Real Madrid
Jude Bellingham scored a late winning goal on his first UEFA Champions League appearance for Real Madrid.
It came in the fourth minute of added time to secure a 1-0 victory over Champions League newcomers Union Berlin on Wednesday.
Real had been the much better side at the Bernabeu but failed to find the net with any of their first 31 shots.
However, a late corner kick resulted in Bellingham finally beating keeper Frederik Ronnow.
Toni Kroos played the corner to Federico Valverde, whose shot from outside of the penalty area was blocked.
But that block from Paul Jaeckel then saw the ball deflect back off teammate Alex Kral and into the path of Bellingham, who volleyed it home from two yards.
This was Bellingham's sixth goal in six games for Madrid since he moved to Spain from Borussia Dortmund in June.
