Kai Havertz has already given his first interview as an Arsenal player... even though his transfer from Chelsea has not yet been officially announced.

Havertz is set to move across London in a transfer worth around £65 million this summer.

A video of the 24-year-old posing in Arsenal's new home jersey has been leaked on social media.

Footage shows Havertz wearing no.29 on the back of his shirt, suggesting that he will keep the same squad number he had at Chelsea.

Indeed, another leaked video makes it clear that Havertz will be Arsenal's new no.29.

His first interview to Arsenal's club media channels has somehow gone viral before its official publication.

In the interview, Havertz says of the no.29: "I have had it now for some years. I chose it when I became professional in Germany. Since then it has always given me luck."

No Arsenal player has worn the no.29 jersey since 2020 when French midfielder Matteo Guendouzi left the club.

Discussing his transfer to Arsenal in the leaked video, Havertz also says: "It's super exciting for me personally.

"I'm so glad to join this amazing club, this club has such a big history, and I hope we can achieve lots of big things.

"You can just see the family mentality that the team has on the pitch and I guess, you know, they have it off the pitch as well. That was one of the reasons why it was so hard to play against Arsenal."
