Manchester United beat Wolves 4-3 at Molineux on Thursday night after Kobbie Mainoo scored a superb 97th-minute winner.

The 18-year-old - four days on from scoring his first goal for United in an FA Cup win at Newport - dribbled past Joao Gomes and Max Kilman before curling a perfect low shot into the far corner of the net from just inside the penalty area.

Mainoo's moment of magic came just two minutes after Pedro Neto had equalized for Wolves.

United had earlier led 2-0 and 3-1 thanks to strikes from Marcus Rashford, Rasmus Hojlund and Scott McTominay.

Pablo Sarabia got the first Wolves goal of the night with a penalty kick in the 71st minute after Neto had been fouled by Casemiro.

McTominay restored United's two-goal advantage just four minutes later before Andre Onana was shown a yellow card for time wasting at 3-1.

Time wasting was the last thing on United minds after Wolves tied the contest in the fifth minute of added time following quick-fire goals from Kilman and Neto.

But fortunately for Erik ten Hag's men, there was still just enough time for Mainoo to score his first Premier League goal.

United's win took them to within one point of West Ham in sixth. The Hammers drew 1-1 at home to Bournemouth on Thursday.
