Kylian Mbappe scored his fourth hat-trick of the season on Sunday night as Paris Saint-Germain won 6-2 away at Montpellier in Ligue 1.

Vitinha, Lee Kang-in and Nuno Mendes also found the net at the Stade de la Mosson.

Arnaud Nordin and Teji Savanier got the goals for Montpellier.

Mbappe's first goal of the night arrived midway through the first half when he beat the keeper with a low left-footed shot from a tight angle after playing a one-two with Randal Kolo Muani.

His second was a superb dipping strike from 22 yards that hit the underside of the crossbar on its way in.

Mbappe completed his hat-trick in the 63rd minute with a sharp two-touch finish after getting on the end of a quickly-taken free-kick from Vitinha.

The France captain has now scored 38 goals in 37 games for PSG this season, as well as six in five for his country.

Mbappe's first hat-trick of the 2023/24 campaign came in PSG's 3-0 win at Reims in November.

He then scored three times for France in a 14-0 win over Gibraltar seven days later.

His other hat-trick this season came in January during PSG's 9-0 victory over Revel in the Coupe de France.
