The videos below show an altercation involving Leon Bailey and Lisandro Martinez during Aston Villa's 3-1 win over Manchester United on Sunday.

Bailey had scored Villa's opening goal against United but he was not in the best of moods after the game.

The Villa winger took to Twitter on Sunday night to accuse Martinez - who was nicknamed "The Butcher of Amsterdam" at former club Ajax - of elbowing him twice in his ribs during the second half.

Bailey said he was "very disappointed" that the incident was not spotted by referee Anthony Taylor or his two assistants.

The Jamaica international also questioned why the VAR did not flag Martinez's apparent act of violence to Mr Taylor.

Bailey tweeted: "Very disappointed in the referees today, I couldn't breath [sic] for a second after getting elbowed twice in my rib.

"The linesman went on to say I shouldn't be saying anything because I was doing just the same thing to Martinez. Sometimes I don't understand why we got VAR".
