Liverpool made it nine points out of a possible nine in UEFA Europa League Group E on Thursday night by thrashing French side Toulouse at Anfield.

Wataru Endo scored the first goal of his Liverpool career in a 5-1 win. Diogo Jota, Darwin Nunez, Ryan Gravenberch and Mo Salah also netted for the rampant Reds.

Thijs Dallinga got the away side's only goal.

Highlights: Liverpool 5-1 Toulouse

There were plenty of positives for Liverpool to take out of Thursday's game.

Calum Scanlon and James McConnell both made their senior debuts for the club, while Trent Alexander-Arnold, Endo and Nunez were all strong candidates for the man-of-the-match award.

No player completed more dribbles than Nunez, who also made two tackles.

But it was not a perfect performance by Nunez as the Uruguayan striker missed an open goal in the 65th minute.

Nunez's miss came after he brilliantly dribbled past a defender and the Toulouse goalkeeper, only to hit the post from seven yards.

After missing the sitter, Nunez sank to his knees and he was still on the ground five seconds later when Gravenberch put the ball in the net after collecting the rebound.
