Conor Gallagher Ends Chelsea Goal Drought With Lucky Strike Against Brighton
Chelsea scored for the first time in five games when Conor Gallagher fired them 1-0 up against Brighton. It was Gallagher's first ever Stamford Bridge goal.
Chelsea scored for the first time in five games when Conor Gallagher fired them into a 1-0 lead against Brighton on Saturday.
The Blues had failed to find the net against Aston Villa, Liverpool, Wolves and Real Madrid, but it took them just 13 minutes to get in front against Brighton.
Mykhailo Mudryk played a pass into the path of Gallagher, who tried his luck from 19 yards.
Gallagher's luck was well and truly in and his shot took a huge deflection off Lewis Dunk, which saw the ball beat keeper Robert Sanchez.
This was Gallagher's second career goal for Chelsea and his first at Stamford Bridge.
But it was not enough to earn Chelsea anything from Saturday's game as Brighton went on to win 2-1.
