Manchester City came from 2-0 down to beat RB Leipzig 3-2 in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday.

Lois Openda struck twice in the opening 33 minutes for Leipzig before Erling Haaland started the City comeback early in the second half.

Phil Foden, who had set up Haaland's goal, netted a fine equalizer and Julian Alvarez then completed the turnaround.

City's victory secured first place in Group G, while Leipzig will progress in second whatever happens in matchweek six .

Haaland's goal on Tuesday was the 40th of his Champions League career.

Aged just 23 years and 130 days, Haaland became the youngest player in UCL history to reach 40 goals, breaking the record previously held by Kylian Mbappe (23 years and 317 days).

Haaland also now holds the record for getting to 40 UCL goals in the fewest number of games.

Tuesday's match was Haaland's 35th in Europe's top club competition, meaning he beat the previous record set by Ruud van Nistelrooy by a whopping 10 games.
