Thousands of Manchester City fans stormed the field at the Etihad Stadium following the final whistle in Sunday's 1-0 win over Chelsea.

City had been confirmed as Premier League champions 24 hours earlier after title rivals Arsenal lost at Nottingham Forest.

The EPL trophy was at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday and a presentation ceremony had been due to take place around 10 minutes after the game.

But the pitch invasion saw the trophy lift delayed.

Multiple announcements were made over the speaker system asking fans to return to their seats.

Meanwhile, many City supporters who had not entered the pitch booed and jeered at those who had.

Security staff eventually cleared the field and the official celebration got underway at 6.23pm, approximately 20 minutes behind schedule.
