Manchester United Come From 2-0 Down To Beat 10-Man Nottingham Forest
Manchester United overcame a nightmare start to beat Nottingham Forest 3-2 on Saturday.
Forest stunned Old Trafford by scoring twice in the opening four minutes with Taiwo Awoniyi and Willy Boly getting the goals.
But United hit back with strikes from Christian Eriksen, Casemiro and Bruno Fernandes.
United's winner - which came from a Fernandes penalty - arrived in the 76th minute.
Forest had been reduced to 10 men nine minutes earlier when Joe Worrall was shown a straight red card for a foul that denied Fernandes a scoring chance.
Highlights: Manchester United 3-2 Nottingham Forest
Speaking to Sky Sports after the game, Eriksen - who was voted as the Player of the Match - said: "We showed character to turn the game around and get three points.
"We still had the confidence and, playing at home, we know we'll get the chances. It's just about taking them.
"Second half we controlled the game. We had the positivity and the quality to come back.
"It's a big surprise to go 2-0 down. The second one was a lucky goal and you felt it was going to be a tough one."
Forest manager Steve Cooper was frustrated that his team had been unable to build on their shock early lead.
Cooper said: "For a team to score or concede two goals so quickly doesn't happen very often, certainly not for the away team here.
"For the positions we did get into, we weren't able to make the most of our chances. That'll be another frustration and will wind me and the players up a little while, for sure.
"We had some really good phases in the game and some really good tactical moves. We couldn't quite get the final bit and are disappointed we lost."
